Welcome to Kidconomy, where finance meets fun and simplicity.

Who Are We?

At Kidconomy, we believe that finance doesn’t have to be boring, doesn't have to be complicated, and definitely doesn't have to be reserved for adults. Our goal is to make sound financial knowledge more accessible for kids and teens. By reading our articles, you will learn about investing, saving, and global financial systems, taking a step toward building your financial future.

Why Start Now?

The average age that a person starts investing is 33.3, according to a 2021 study by Personal Capital. Think about it, that is about 10 years after most people start working their first full time job and collect their first paycheck. And according to Fidelity's 2023 Teens & Money Study, only 23% of teens have begun investing. Here’s the catch, thanks to the power of compound interest, the earlier you start investing, the more time your money has to grow.

For example, if you invest $100 a month starting at age 15, and it grows at an average rate of 10% annually, you would have over $637,000 by the time you’re 55. But, if you wait until you’re 33, that amount drops to just over $96,000. That’s the power of time in investing.
